Click on "Weather Watcher" in the LINKS : WEATHER LINKS page of this web site

On the first page, scroll down and select the 'FULL SET UP' column, then DOWNLOAD at the bottom.

A new window will open, in a 'download manager' with DOWNLOAD NOW displayed. Click on this to download the programme.

You may be required to "Allow downloads" in Explorer, then select "Run" (twice) when requested

Weather watcher will be downloaded to your PC and a welcome window will be displayed

Click NEXT to install, then accept the agreement and click NEXT again

Click NEXT to autorise the desination folder, then NEXT again to agree to a desktop icon

Click INSTALL at the next screen to begin installation, when installed click FINISH. A help window will be displayed.

Close all open windows at this point, and an new ICON will be displayed on your desktop.

Click on the ICON and a 'Greetings' window will be displayed, click YES to set up the options.

In t he GENERAL tab, tick boxes for "Start minimised" & "Load when windows starts" & "retrieve forecasts". This will ensure that Weather wather is always available.

The only other option required is to select "Active city" and type in TORQUAY (Brixham is not available).

All the other options on the tabs can be selected by experimentation. Suggest that the "Tray icon" is set to '8' Bold and a contrasting 'Font' and 'Background' colour in order to make it more visible. Also select BOTH click actions to "Open weather watcher"

"Tray tool tip" allows selection of all the information that can be displayed when the task bar icon is clicked.

The "Skins" tab will allow differnt symbols for weather to be displayed. (Set all to 'Classic' as the most acceptable)

Eventually click OK and the programme will be set up. A screen will be displayed with symbols on the left, hover the mouse pointer over these to show their use.

Top (1) is "Update now"

(2) "View current conditions"

(3) "Hourly forecasts"

(4) "Daily forecasts"

(5) "Detailed forecasts"

(6) "View maps"

(7) "Options"

The programme will start when the computer starts and a coloued box will be displayed in the lower right 'task bar' with the current temperature. When this box is clicked then all the current conditions will be displayed, if the settings have been made as above, then a double click will open the selected forecast period.

I hope that this will assist in loading this very comprehensive weather forecast programme.
