1 |
Compound there
is no change. Allen Haynes joined the meeting and told us that the compound
will probably be preserved or made bigger even though the car park will not
now be developed. Water board will want us there as our dinghies are mobile. |

It was agreed
that, funding allowed, we will have our own safety bags to take on the RIBs.
Not include boat bits which should be on board. RIB to be
checked prior to training |

It was announced
that we are officially an RYA Training Centre in our own right. We can issue
certificates and run official courses. |

Wizywig was sold
for £999 thanks to Paul Bradfield for this magnificent donation. The engine, 8hp long shaft in excellent condition, is still for sale
and open to offers. |
Broadcast the
engine for sale. Steve has a bid of £350 so far. |

The meeting was
in full support of the joint regatta where Paignton will be the sailing
ground for dinghies. Must try to get
novice racing included. |

Update on the
instructor course After months of work The money is in
the bank so providing good weather it should go without a hitch. |

Stephen
Linley-Shaw updated the committee about a link up with Ashley McNally, Head
Sports and Churston Grammar. He will use the Picos
and safety boat Tuesday, Wed and or Friday not interfere with us. We are
not obliged to help but I will try to be available most of the time. Each student, 12
in total, will join the BJSC as full members. Buoyancy aids to
be provided by the students or the school |

We are to
include a yacht race on a Monday night which is in the BYC events programme. Each training
session will end with a race if possible. |
Peter to finalise
the program for printing A4 fold in half? Including info.? Need to ensure
compliance by yachties! |

Log books We
need info from instructors about last years intake and progress a poor year
this 2008 will be characterised by improved bookwork and record keeping. Peter Marshall
is to be head of new trainees and Peter C concentrate on the racing etc. |

farmer sent us a bank statement. We have £2300.

extensions needed. Agreed we can buy 4. Centre mains
discussed for Wayfarers. Agreed to adopt. Question about direct to centre or
via transom horse probably try on the water. We do not need to keep the
boats in class |

have 6 hulls so one can always be in refurb. |

Lynn not been able to be as active as normal. If we are short
of recruits we can advertise in the local schools or on notice boards. |
