A wag, Bendy Wendy, snapped this photo on Thursday night from the flight deck of the 90 ft, 3000hp stink boat “Wag raft” – sponsored by Johnny Walker.
Notice the total concentration of each crew as they coax the last ounce of power out of fickle wind. Light air is so demanding…….for even the best crews and especially for these two boats……….
A freak, small tsunami struck BB shortly after this snap was taken and disturbed their kite for some 115 seconds. Many of the crew were stretchered below decks to the Blues Breaker, state of the art, ITU to have their wounds blanket stitched with sail twine by Bandy Mandy. “Something of a mediaeval battle scene”  ensued with wax, essential oils and Ambre Soliare making passage along the saloon very tricky even on all fours but fun for some. This last part is pure here say from a reported who was not there in the mediaeval period.
The cause of the tidal wave may never be known.
The photo has been sent to the Sonata Association to be officially destroyed.
